How It Works

If you are a Patient:

Step 1: Become a Dockedin member by creating a free account at www.Dockedin.com. Obtain Dockedin site compatible medical devices. Navigate through the list of online doctors to see who provides the service that you are looking for.

Step 2: To see a doctor online, you must first Sign In to buy a Consult from the online doctor. Dockedin charges the credit card you provided when requesting the consultation or your billing information that is saved in your profile.

Step 3: Make an appointment with the doctor you purchased the service from. You can search through the doctor's availability schedule.

Step 4: Enter data into the Dockedin electronic health record form. Enter your symptoms, current medical conditions and medications, past medical history, weight, temperature, vital signs, etc.

Step 5: Join your live consult 5 minutes before the time of the appointment. The doctor will review your electronic health record, listen to your concerns, ask questions, and examine you using your Dockedin site compatible medical devices (if you have them). It is almost like an in-person consultation.

Step 6: Plug in the Dockedin website compatible medical devices as required and connect.

Step 7: The doctor will recommend treatment for your medical issue. Some doctors may be able send a prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. You can even keep your personal doctor in the loop by sharing the electronic health record with him/her.

Important: After the consult is completed, please Sign Out from the Dockedin portal and close your browser.

Step 5: Initiate the consult. You will be connected to a live consult screen and a request will appear on your video. Click “allow” to activate the camera on your computer and you will see yourself on the 1st video screen. Once the patient connects, you will see him/her on the 2nd video screen.

Step 6: Review the patient’s health record, listen to his/her concerns, ask questions, and evaluate using the webcam and the Dockedin compatible medical devices that the patient has with him/her.

Step 7: Recommend treatment for the patient’s medical issues. If a prescription is required and you are licensed to issue one in the patient’s physical location, you can send it to the pharmacy of the patient’s choice. The patient can keep his/her personal doctor in the loop by sharing the electronic health record with him/her.
